The DHd association - "Digital Humanities in German-speaking countries" - was founded in 2013 and sees itself as a forum and formal representation of interests for all those in German-speaking countries who are involved in research and teaching in the field of digital humanities, regardless of discipline. Currently, 440 researchers are members of DHd (July 2022).
DHd ist als Regionalverband sowohl mit der European Association of Digital Humanities (EADH) assoziiert als auch Mitglied im internationalen Dachverband Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations (ADHO). Mitglieder von DHd sind zugleich Vollmitglieder von EADH: sie haben damit – ohne zusätzliche Gebühren – Anspruch auf alle entsprechenden Leistungen von EADH und ADHO.
The official English translation of DHd-Verband, as voted in the 38th Board meeting in November 2022, is „DHd – Association for Digital Humanities in the German Speaking Areas“
